Hired a car in Glasgow. Just arrived at the airport. Waited for five minutes and a driver arrived. In the hub Allister was brilliant. He helped us so much.

Oh dear! After being a customer of these for 20 + years and buying all my cars from them and recommending them to family and friends, I can’t believe how downhill this company has gone.
Firstly, you’re not allowed a test drive. The salesmen can’t be bothered to book you in or turn up for your test drive and you can’t go on your own so you’re hoping your new car isn’t garbage.
I recently bought a Mercedes GLE from them. When I picked it up, it had a warning about the headlight system. They said they would fix it. My car was with them for six days when they took it to Mercedes who couldn’t get rid of the warning. Apparently it needs a new motor in the headlight system. A new one is 2k so there were discussions about a reconditioned one. But six days to conclude that?
After weekly phone calls, and sending links by email to purchase a new unit, I’m just ignored.
I bought the car in July 2024 and it’s now December 2024.
I’m going to buy the part myself and get it done elsewhere. I’m afraid this is the end of my relationship with Carmotion which is such as shame, but when they treat loyal customers like crap, it doesn’t sit well with me at all. I would’ve like to have left a nice review after the fault had been fixed, but…
