Hello doctor, I hope through this means I can communicate with you since it is impossible, I apologize, but this unpleasant situation is embarrassing and I have called countless times and written through my chat and I have not had a response since May 6, calling the Miami Beach office and they hang up the phone, They are very disrespectful and very lacking in professional ethics. I have been your patient since 2018 and have always chosen you as my gynecologist. For me you are an excellent doctor and very professional and I have been to every office where you attend today 5/22/24 the assistant manager Amalia, with a very unprofessional treatment, without ethics, with despotism and arrogance, told me to leave the hospital and to find me a private clinic due to the fact that I only wanted an appointment with you. She canceled the appointment and I told her that I was going to personally talk to you. You and threatened me that you were going to wait for me with security at the door as if I were a criminal. You have reasons to feel angry since I wrote through my chat and they didn't give you my messages. They ignored me and the manager never called me back either. On May 6, trying to get an appointment with you and every time I called they hung up on me and as if that were not enough, the assistant manager Amalia told me that I had problems and that they were going to meet with the doctors to see if they could treat me as a patient. When you have been my only doctor who assisted me in the hospital even during the birth of my daughter, I always chose what was according to your schedule, doctor, I am very disappointed that a hospital like Mount Sinai has a lack of respect staff with very little empathy and kindness I repeat since May 6, trying to get in touch to get an appointment with you doctor, please wait carefully for your response, I'm sorry, best regards, Gretter.

Great bedside manner and appointments with Dr. Mayrink. BUT Awful delivery experience with a doctor in this practice (update* no longer there) who I never met in my 7 months having appointments and let a resident deliver my baby and yell at me while pushing as well as bully us on into going against our reviewed birth plan. Then stood and gloated on her induction technique after a traumatic birth experience for me.

Update December: Initially I shared all my feedback in my follow up appointment and was told it wasn't up to the doctor on things like cord clamping and baby handling, and to contact patient relations at mt sinai. Aka all responsibilities were deferred and none accepted.

Update January: Updating my review to reflect the time and care Dr. Mayrink took as always to talk to me, explain the protocol from a medical perspective, and apologize for the miscommunication + take feedback back to the residents and about expectation setting. He continues to stand out as an incredible doctor, and I wish he had been there the day of my delivery.

Dr. Mayrink and his staff are truly beyond amazing. I walked in at Mount Sinai terrified, when I left I had a big smile on my face. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses and the Doctor treated me with the outmost respect and put me at ease. They were able to listen to me, my concerns and everything went smoothly. I did some lab work too and they were able to fit me in immediately. If you are hesitant, please do yourself a favor and book your next visit with them. Thank you Doc & to the whole team, you rock! My next check up is already in for next year, you won’t get rid of me!

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I so far I feel comfortable in the hands of Dr. Mayrink. He takes his time and shows concern not like other doctors whom rush in and out of the room. Overall the staff is very nice and polite. I loved how one of the staff members went out of her way to help me find a Doctor who takes my insurance to do a prenatal echo exam. Thanks for making my pregnancy go smoothly!

Dr. Mayrink was very kind and thoughtful during my appointment. I do wish that he explained that there would be another person present during my exam though. This review is not directed towards him.

The nurse who brought me into the exam room lacked any possible signs of bedside manner and professionalism and made offensive, unwarranted comments about my weight.

The nurse was going over my chart with me - it was my first time with Dr Mayrink, but I had been to Mt. Sinai ER once before - and said, "wow, you gained a lot of weight!" I asked her to elaborate since I have only gained a total of 5 lbs since December '22 when I visited the ER. She said, "yeah, you gained almost 40 lbs in five months, that's a lot of weight." I asked her what the weight was that she was referring to and she told me a weight that I have not been in about 15 years, when I was actually suffering from an eating disorder.

I told her that something must be wrong or she must be looking at the wrong records because when I went to the ER I was getting stitches on my hand and was not weighed or asked my weight. She continued to tell me that I was wrong and that I did, in fact, gain 40 lbs and should take better care of myself. I tried to laugh it off but the lack of sensitivity, self awareness and empathy was beyond comprehension. I can't imagine how I would feel if I did actually gain a significant amount of weight and had to accept this woman shaming me instead of approaching the topic with a level of sensitivity.

How are you creating a positive environment for women to feel safe in their most private and exposed moments when a female staff member who is directly communicating with patients is body shaming and making patients feel uncomfortable?

If the doctor hadn't come in shortly after this exchange I was ready to leave and find somewhere new. The lack of bedside manner is why people, myself included, avoid going to the doctor completely.

Dr. Mayrink is simply the best doctor I ever met. He is professional, friendly and compassionate. He listens and respect your choices as a woman! He did my c section for my daughter and recently my VBAC for my son. I am so grateful, Dr. Mayrink was my doctor because he really worked with me on my birth project, while other doctors were just telling me to go C section (again). I had a beautiful vaginal birth, full of love, emotions and fun (yes fun). Thank you so much for this beautiful experience.
