I was sent to this Dr. by my primary and was very pleased by how he didn't just overlook what I had to say about my knee and just recommend surgery. I let him know that I was trying to avoid surgery by using a compression knee brace and he advised me against surgery right now but to excercise and try to strengthen it.

I met Dr. Konsens briefly. It was pleasure to meet him. Very professional. Easy to communicate with and listens to his patient. Dr. Konsens did his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital New York where I retired from. It’s a loss for me that he is not able to do my surgery. But I know that he also referred me to one of his collies. That are just as awesome as him. Good Luck!!!

As a young woman, I feel it is important to provide honest information so other women can make informed decisions about whom they choose to receive treatment from. At my first appointment, Dr. Konsens did not listen to what I was saying and was so singularly focused that he did not understand where I was actually experiencing pain in my knee. He misdiagnosed me with tendonitis and prescribed a treatment plan, which I followed, but it did nothing to relieve my pain. After that first appointment, I felt belittled by how he spoke to me and misunderstood by my doctor. At my follow-up appointment a month later, he finally understood the location of the pain in my knee and said multiple times how it was "too insignificant for anyone to do anything about." He recommended I see a dermatologist, but again said, "it's still too small for them to do anything about." He then said "good luck" and left without even attempting to help me further. He wasted my time and his own by not listening to me during my first appointment, spoke condescendingly to me, and was dismissive of my pain.

Dr. Konsens is an amazing surgeon with great bedside manner. He takes the time to fully explain everything to you in a way that you can understand. He definitely puts his patients first. I have been a patient of his for ~3 years. He is the only Orthopedic surgeon that I trust to work on me. His staff is also very friendly.

All went great untill doctor came in yes I got a cortisone shot in knee. But was treated like I didn't matter at all.just not friendly at all. To bad he can't always do surgery only cause it seemed he does not like people. Just so Inconsiderate. It was a Friday maybe he would of rather been playing golf.
I really fought hard to not stop at liquor store cause he made me feel like garbage

I was very impressed with the care and treatment I received from him. He took the time to come back in the office a few times to make sure I had no additional questions or needed anything before I left. Highly recommend!!
