This office is horrible. I started the helmet process back in May of 2024, once they billed my insurance they stopped answering my calls. They even closed there summerlin office without letting me know. It took me two months for them to finally answere the phone after I left bad reviews and reported them to insurance. My insurance told me I needed to try and get them to give me my son’s helmet because they already paid for it and it’s hard to get them to approve another device. So Orthopedic motion reached out to me, told me if I un did the insurance claim, they would allow me to come in and get a new helmet. My sons was already 7 months old at this point and I started it when he was 4 months. Fast forwarded to a week ago. I was in her office, the power was off, there were angry customers outside the office knocking on the door. She told me to hide with her till they went away. I was shocked that this was happening. After that visit I called another helmet place, took him in and they informed me the helmet he had was not his helmet. It was not made for his head. This company gave him some random old helmet and kept having me come in knowing it wasn’t his. I feel taken advantage of, these people took advantage of my little baby and insurance pushed me to go through with a company that obviously is doing shady buisness. Follow your mom gut. I failed because I listened to a system that should be here to help me and neither of them did. This company is a complete fraud. As you can see from previous photos, the note on the door “out due to family emergency” that was the day I was in the office when people were angry outside and this is her text to tell me that note was for other people not me.

My son had an appointment August 26th we got there and pretty boy nurse said they had a power outage. They told us to come back in an a few hours which wasn't happening because I had work to get to. They took our name and number and said they would call to reschedule. It has been 2 and a half weeks of us calling trying to get him rescheduled with the nurses telling us they couldn't access the schedule for the charelston location and they would send an email to them to have them call us. We have called 4 times and told the same thing each time. Then yesterday tried to call and the phone number is out of serive!! My husband drove to the charelston location which has a sign that they moved to the Buffalo location! Drove there and it's under construction. This place is awful my son helmet isn't fitting correctly because he is weeks passed his appointment! Oh and mind you all locations have the same freaking phone number listed!!!!

UPDATE: I was informed by my sons pediatrician that they are permanently closed.

Go somewhere else. Do not do business with orthopedic motion. Just went for my son’s 9am appointment and the door was locked and the phone number was temporarily disconnected. Never received word that my appointment was changed or cancelled. One of many issues with them. Completely unprofessional, shady business.

UPDATED REVIEW: They are permanently closed. My son's follow up appointment never happened. I couldn't get a hold of anyone. My son's pediatrician gave a referral for Children's Orthotics and
prosthetics instead. His head is now moderate level of flat. He will never be able to get it fully corrected.. The new referral - Children's orthotics mentioned that I can get his helmet in 10 days and they will do what they can to get some correction before he is too old. At Orthopedic motion, I was quoted 8 WEEKS and his helmet NEVER FIT RIGHT. Regulations are helmets are supposed to be fitted to your child within 14 days. Im so upset because my son was 8 months old when we started this process and he is now 16 months old and we are back to square one.Highly recommend everyone to stay away from Othopedic motion and go to Children's Orthotics and Prosthetics instead.

I had to write a review for this place because they are EXCEPTIONAL! I was hesitant at first seeing all the 1 star reviews but my experience with my 1 year old son has been AMAZING!

We had an initial consultation back around March 2024. We were told 6 weeks for him to get his helmet and that he was looking at having to wear it for a few months. We paid the other 50% the insurance would not cover. Literally 6 weeks went by and got the call his helmet was in. We were thrilled.

We had an appointment exactly a week later to have his helmet put on. They fitted it to him. We had to call two days later because it kept falling in front of his face. No big deal. They said they loved that I called. Got him in less than 3 days later for readjustment. Seen again in about 2 to 3 weeks. MAJOR progress! They shaped the bottom of the helmet for him allowing for growth, added padding to the sides and removed his spacer. 4 weeks later. Head was moving PERFECTLY. We went from him wearing his helmet all day to just nights for 3 to 4 weeks. BOOM. Now his helmet is off and he has a follow up visit in 6 weeks just to be sure of no regression!

They called each time to confirm my appointments. Each time we came for an appointment I would show up 15 minutes early and they would take us back right away! They always followed up and checked his head on each appointment and now my son's head is perfect! The staff is incredibly nice from Allison (hope I spelled her name right) to Ian. They remembered us each time we came in. 5 out of 5 stars! I even referred over my coworker!

IMO, there's clear cut fraud happening here.

I visited them to get an orthotic for my foot and they immediately billed my insurance for it and sent me a bill for the remainder, even though I made it clear to them that I had to have surgery done on my foot first. The orthotic was never delivered.

I visited them again after recovering from the surgery (11 months later) and they made a cast for the orthotic. They again immediately billed my insurance for the entire amount, once again without having delivered anything to me.

This was six months ago. Every time I call, they tell me that the orthotic will be done "in a week or so". The same answer, again and again, for the past two months.

I don't know what's going at this office. I've asked to speak to the owner to try to resolve this and they never put me through to her. I've sent letters asking the owner to contact me so that we can discuss it and nothing happens. Unfortunately, the only option I have left is to report them for fraud.

Awful experience. This company and employees don't care at all. Took my 5 year old to get AFOs in November, did not recieve them until August! Kept calling monthly, then weekly and kept getting excuses that the co. that makes them was running months behind on orders, later found out that was a lie. When i picked up they said they had "calculated" for growth but they were too big for my son and did not fit his foot shape. They didn't offer to replace or to fix the situation. Didn't even acknowledge the problem. Waited all those months for that! Save yourself and your kiddos from this place. Shocking how they remain in business! Parents, we have options other than this horrible business.

I don’t know where to start with this company, but my review is solely based on the prosthetic “services” I was provided with. When it comes to the staff at the Charleston location Olivia at the from desk is a total sweetheart, Dan seems like a great experienced prosthetist who has a good hearth and work ethic, and that’s it. But you’re only as strong as the management team and can only do so much if not given all the right tools for success. I will start off by saying that Orthopedic motion deleted my first review off yelp. Wonder why, right I am am upper extremity amputee and have been given two arms by this company. The first was so poorly made that it’s 100% useless. They’ll blame it on the prosthetist from then, but hey they hired him! I feel like my insurance and myself were taken advantage of. The second arm started off with some great ideas, but unfortunately was poorly executed. The first arm although very poorly made took over 8 months for them to give to me, and the second arm took over 6 months for them to give to me. No amputee should have to wait so long for such basic arms. Neither of mine have any sockets that are out of the ordinary or are myo electric. As for “management” at this office it’s lazy, incompetent, and overall just garbage. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU’RE AN UPPER EXTRIMITY AMPUTEE! If you do I reccomend you do some research in Las Vegas. There’s other Co. that won’t take so long and don’t outsource everything as Orthopedic motion does. I could go on and on but it’s not worth my time anymore. Good Luck fellow amputees.
